Modular
Brok Modular's two modules, photographed, in a Eurorack case. YEETS, 4 hp, converts line level to modular level on its top jacks and modular level back to line level on its bottom jacks; gold jacks are inputs and black jacks are outputs. HON, 6 hp, is a dual attenuverter and offset: each channel has an input, an attenuverted out and an offset out, called fin. The six knobs are sliders; turning one changes the background field. The jacks are buttons: press an output and then an input to hang a patch cable between them, and every patched cable pulses the field on the beat at 120 beats per minute. Press a patched jack to pull its cable.
PinkyBot
An agent graph of eleven nodes with messages travelling along its edges as pulses. Hovering a node names its role: router, you, messenger, sidekick, builder, reviewer, long memory, scheduler, dreamer, skills, outreach. Below it, a heightfield of the repository's commits, one bar per day over the last 52 weeks, from a static snapshot.
A blueprint grid with rulers draws itself, and the Brockman Labs mark assembles on it with its dimension lines, 376 by 216. Pressing or hovering a product puts it on the drawing's title block and sets the mark on a yellow block.
Open Designs
Photographer, designer, hacker.
His open-source 3D designs from Thingiverse, for film photography: two DSLR film scanners, a film scanning holder, a peel-apart Polaroid holder and a Leica lens hood, all under Creative Commons Attribution. The splats take the shape of the selected design's published files, each set on the bed as it was published and laid side by side, and turn slowly. Press a design to re-form the splats into it; the stage is a slider, so the arrow keys turn it, and it can be dragged.
Art
Polaroids and the alchemy of the darkroom.
Photographs, shown through a one-bit dither. Hovering or pressing a print develops it to full tone, the way a print comes up in the developer tray. Each step down walks the series one at a time.
